Rats are part of a rodent. About 40% of mammal species are rodents, and one of them is a mouse. Mice in general there are gray, white, brown, and black. These animals have feathers on their bodies. The mice's stomach is usually lighter in color than its back. This belly also has short but hair. Rats do not have hair on the ears and tail, have eyes like small beads and mustaches. The rear legs are shorter than the front legs.
In the wild, rats rarely survive for more than a year, but in captivity can live up to about 2-3 years. Rats like to make a weird, high-pitched sound.
